december interior design musings from a portland interior designer
Well hello, December. As we usher in the holidays and begin wrapping up the year, I cannot help but reflect on what a big year this has been. Officially launching in early 2025, this year marked the formal founding of Anna Reinhard Interiors, and what a year it was. I worked with wonderful clients, oversaw exciting projects, and connected with so many inspiring people, including fellow designers, stylists, contractors, tradespeople, and makers throughout Portland. Each collaboration reinforced why I love this work and how meaningful it is to help shape spaces that truly feel like home.
While the year brought so much goodness, it also stretched me in ways I did not anticipate. It was full of learning curves, long days, and moments that asked me to trust the process and keep moving forward. It reminded me that growth is rarely comfortable and that sometimes the best thing you can do is hold on, stay open, and maintain a good attitude through it all. Those challenges ultimately made the wins feel even more rewarding.
As I look ahead to 2026, my goal is to continue growing thoughtfully, deepen relationships with clients and collaborators, and dive into projects where creativity and trust lead the way. I hope to be welcomed into even more homes to bring that signature Anna Reinhard Interiors vibe - thoughtful, layered with SOUL.
In the meantime, I am sharing a few of the things that are currently inspiring me, from design ideas and textures to pieces sitting at the top of my own holiday wish list. I hope they spark a little inspiration for you as we head into the cozy final weeks of the year.
