BATHROOM RENOVATION BY PORTLAND INTERIOR DESIGNER IN ALAMEDA RIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD IN PORTLAND, OREGON.

This 1931 Tudor in Portland’s Alameda Ridge neighborhood is rich with original character, providing the perfect backdrop for a thoughtful primary bathroom renovation that feels both fresh and connected to the home’s history.

By borrowing square footage from an adjacent, underutilized closet, we expanded the bathroom to create a more generous and functional layout. We developed the floor plan and construction drawings and selected finishes and fixtures throughout. We paired natural marble and walnut with brass fixtures to create a space that is warm, grounded and layered. A color drench of a soft sage tone on the walls keeps things feeling serene.

Our design work extended beyond the bathroom, with lighting and paint selections throughout the home. Furnishings, window coverings and accessories were also selected. These updates were chosen to complement the Tudor’s original hardwood floors, millwork, and architectural details while bringing a more cohesive point of view to the interiors.

The result is a thoughtfully updated Portland Tudor that balances historic character with richer color, natural materials, and a more functional approach to modern living.
